Castell de Borriol overlooks the town of Borriol in Castellón province, Valencian Community, Spain, from a northern hilltop position.

With possible Roman origins overlaid by 11th-century Islamic construction and medieval Christian modifications, the fortress features an old walled enclosure accessed through a single door, an Arabic-origin turret, and a 14th-century Gothic hall amid its current ruins. 

Strategically placed between the Desert de les Palmes and Serra de Borriol mountains near Castellón de la Plana, this layered defensive structure reflects Borriol's antiquity from prehistoric rock art through Roman Via Augusta passage to Reconquista-era fortifications.
