Castell de Maldà stands as a grand palace-castle in the village of Maldà, Urgell region, Lleida province, Catalonia, Spain, with origins tracing to an 11th-12th century primitive fortress that formed the settlement's core.

Reformed extensively starting in 1212 under Guillem de Cardona as indicated by its portal inscription, it features massive perimeter walls with machicolations and corner towers, a rectangular asymmetrical courtyard, a 13th-century pentagonal hall with embrasures, and a stunning 15th-century arcaded room with seven diaphragm arches rising nine meters.

Enlarged through the 16th century before partial abandonment and 19th-century Carlist damage, this Gothic-Romanesque complex survives as a protected cultural asset showcasing feudal evolution from military stronghold to noble residence.
