Castell de Perputxent is a 12th-13th century Muslim-origin fortress located near the village of Lorcha in Alicante province, Valencian Community, Spain, strategically positioned on a hill overlooking the Perputxent Valley and the Serpis River.

Originally an Almohad stronghold controlling rich irrigated farmlands during Al-Azraq's resistance, it passed to Christian hands after the 1244 Pouet Treaty, undergoing major feudal reconstructions with a 20-meter Torre del Homenaje keep, L-shaped towers, avantmurallas, and a noble residence before ownership shifted among nobles and military orders like the Hospital and Montesa. 

Acquired by Alicante Province in 2009 and declared a Bien de Interés Cultural, the imposing ruins retain distinct Islamic and Christian phases, drawing hikers to its panoramic vistas amid Alicante's rugged interior.
