Castell de Serradell crowns a hilltop in Serradell village, within Àger municipality in Noguera comarca, Lleida province, Catalonia, Spain, originating in the 11th century as a strategic fortress during the Reconquista when local lords repopulated the frontier after Christian conquests.

This medieval stronghold anchored a walled settlement with double enclosures, access portals including one near the church linking to ancient cave dwellings like Sorta and Esplugallonga, and upper gates leading directly to the castle proper.

Though now in ruins reflecting centuries of abandonment after losing its defensive role, the site preserves traces of its role controlling Pyrenean valleys and preserves its status as cultural heritage emblematic of Catalonia's feudal architecture.
