Castelo de Salvaterra in Salvaterra de Miño, Galicia, Spain, is a medieval fortress originally dating to the 10th-11th century on the Miño River border with Portugal, first documented in 991 when donated to the Archbishopric of Santiago de Compostela.

Fortified by King Ferdinand II of León in the 12th century to defend against Lusitanian invasions and later strengthened during Portuguese occupation (1643-1659) with new walls and bastions by engineers like Carlos de Lessar, it features the prominent Palacio de Doña Urraca, robust granite enclosures, and a strategic position overlooking the river. 

Used in conflicts including Pedro Madruga's 1479 defense against Archbishop Fonseca and as a smuggling hub mid-20th century, the well-preserved complex was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1949, symbolizing Galicia's frontier heritage amid the Eurocity with Monção.
