Castillo de Agüero is a medieval fortress ruin located in Buenavista de Valdavia municipality, Palencia province, Spain, strategically positioned on the Cerro de Las Cuestas hill to oversee the Valdavia Valley during the Reconquista repopulation efforts.

Under the control of the Counts of Saldaña, this military stronghold from the 13th century catalyzed local settlement with its simple stone tower design adapted to the rugged terrain, though largely deteriorated today with scant remnants amid remote rural landscapes.

Recognized as a Bien de Interés Cultural heritage site, it exemplifies Palencia's lesser-known feudal defenses tied to Castile's northern frontier history.
