Castillo de Baides, located near Peralejos de las Truchas in Guadalajara province, Spain, is a remote 11th-century Islamic fortress perched on a steep rocky outcrop overlooking the Tajo River gorge.

Built during the Taifa period as a strategic watchpost with simple walls, cisterns, and defensive slits adapted to the natural terrain, it guarded frontier routes before the Christian reconquest integrated it into regional defenses. 

Today, its weathered ruins amid the Alto Tajo Natural Park attract hikers seeking rugged solitude and panoramic vistas, though access requires a challenging scramble up the hillside.
