Castillo de Capilla is a formidable 15th-century fortress of Muslim origin crowning a conical schist hill in Capilla, Badajoz province, Extremadura, Spain, known historically as Kabbal.

Renowned for resisting King Fernando III's 14-week siege during the 13th-century Reconquista despite fierce assaults, its strategic crossroads location featured an alcazaba with mampostería walls, tapial southeast muralla, cylindrical and square eastern towers, a barbacana-protected main gate, cisterns, and near-vertical 40-meter cliffs for natural defense.

Rebuilt post-conquest by nobles like the Señores de Béjar and later the Casa de Osuna, recent archaeological excavations reveal prehistoric to Islamic layers, preserving this impregnable landmark amid La Serena's plains.
