Rebuilt in the 15th century by the Order of Santiago in a distinctive Renaissance military style, it features a square floor plan with circular corner turrets, two preserved main walls, and remnants of an outer fortified wall equipped with gun ports and artillery reinforcements.
This unique fortress stands out for its rounded elevation and original layout, showcasing transitional defensive architecture from the late medieval period.
