Castillo de los Bracamonte
Fuente el Sol, Spain, Spain
Castillo de los Bracamonte, also known as the Castle of Fuente el Sol, is a late 15th-century fortress in the Valladolid village of Fuente el Sol, Spain, commissioned by Álvaro de Bracamonte in the distinctive Valladolid architectural style.
Featuring a rectangular layout with three solid round corner turrets and a partially preserved keep tower—reaching about half its original height—it was left unfinished, prompting builders to lower the walls for proportional balance.
Recently consolidated with sillería stonework and a new roof after serving variously as a warehouse, dovecote, and winery, the tower remains privately owned while the courtyard belongs to the diocese and functions as a parish cemetery.
