Castillo de Palenzuela consists of ruins over a thousand years old in the village of Palenzuela, Palencia province, Spain, first constructed in the 9th century atop ancient walls with three towers finished in ashlar stone.

It endured sieges by María de Molina, assaults during Pedro I's wars, 15th-century succession conflicts, and French occupation in the Peninsular War, featuring a rectangular layout where only the northeast wall and three massive talud towers remain, exposing their tapial fill after losing outer stone facing. 

Integrated with the medieval town's muralla and Arco de la Paz gate near the Arlanza River bridge, these evocative remnants reflect turbulent Castilian frontier history amid Roman Pallantia influences.
