Transformed in the 16th century into a Plateresque-style palace by the powerful Enríquez de Ribera family—who employed Italian and Spanish artists like Benvenuto Tortello and Hernán Ruiz—it boasts a grand patio with peraltado arches, an upper gallery with ojival balustrades, a central marble fountain from Italy, Gothic portals with gargoyles, and Renaissance gardens inspired by the Vatican. Owned by the House of Medinaceli until 1949 when acquired by the town council, this cultural gem exemplifies the shift from medieval defense to Renaissance luxury.
