Břeclav Castle is a historic landmark in the town of Břeclav, with origins dating back to the 11th century when it was established as a border fortress by Duke Břetislav I to help protect the region.

Over the centuries, the medieval castle was rebuilt into a Renaissance château and later modified in a romantic style by the Liechtenstein family during the development of the Lednice-Valtice cultural landscape. The castle was owned by several important noble families, including the Žerotíns and the Liechtensteins, and played a significant role in the area's history.

After World War II, it became state property and is now managed by the town of Břeclav. Today, the castle is known for its distinctive tower, which serves as a popular viewpoint overlooking the town and surrounding landscape. Although much of the building awaits further restoration, it remains an important cultural monument and a key historical attraction in South Moravia.
