Castle Carra, near Ballymena in Ireland, is a historic 13th-century hall house built by Adam de Staunton, an Anglo-Norman subject of the de Burgo family.
It is situated on the east bank of Lough Carra and features a rectangular design with a plinth, bawn, and outbuildings added by the MacEvilly family.
The castle was surrendered to the Crown in the 1570s and granted to Captain William Bowen who fortified it further. The property later passed to the Lynch family, who held it until the 19th century. Castle Carra is recognized as a national monument reflecting the Anglo-Norman influence and local Irish history but today remains in ruins and is only accessible for external viewing.
