Castle Desmond, also known as Desmond Hall and Castle, is a prominent medieval landmark in the heart of Newcastle West, County Limerick, Ireland. Originally established by the FitzGerald family, the Earls of Desmond, the site dates back to the 13th century and served as an important stronghold in the region for centuries. The castle complex experienced numerous sieges, conflicts, and periods of rebuilding throughout its history.
