Castle Ruins Maškovec, also known as Kotek or Kotkův Hrádek, are the remains of a small Gothic castle perched on a rocky cliff above the Vltava River near Kamenný Újezd in South Bohemia.

The castle was built in the mid-14th century by the Lords of Újezd and occupied a strategic position overlooking an important trade route. The castle remained in the hands of the Lords of Újezd until the Hussite period, when financial difficulties led to its decline. After it was acquired by the powerful Rožmberk family in 1455, it lost its importance and was soon abandoned.

By the end of the 15th century it was already described as ruined. Today, only small fragments of walls, earthworks, and defensive ditches survive, as much of the masonry was removed for building material in the 19th century. Despite its modest remains, the site is a protected cultural monument and offers beautiful views over the Vltava Valley, making it a rewarding destination for hikers and history enthusiasts.
