Velké Losiny Castle is one of the finest Renaissance châteaux in the Czech Republic, located in the village of Velké Losiny in the Olomouc Region.

Built in the late 16th century by the influential Žerotín family on the site of an older fortress, it is renowned for its well-preserved architecture, arcaded courtyard, historic interiors, and valuable collections of furniture, tapestries, and artworks. The castle is closely associated with the infamous witch trials that took place in the region between 1678 and 1692, during which dozens of people were accused and executed for alleged witchcraft.

These events remain an important part of the château’s history. Owned for centuries by the Žerotín and later the Liechtenstein families, the château survived many historical changes and is now a national cultural monument open to visitors. It is also known for its beautiful park and its connection to the nearby historic paper mill and spa town of Velké Losiny.
