Chateau Manětín is a magnificent Baroque château in the town of Manětín in western Czechia, often called the “Baroque pearl of West Bohemia.”

It stands on the site of an older medieval fortress and Renaissance residence, but gained its present appearance after a major fire in 1712, when the Lažanský family commissioned an extensive Baroque reconstruction. The château is renowned for its richly decorated interiors, historic furniture, frescoes, noble family portraits, and a unique collection of paintings depicting estate servants.

It is connected by a covered corridor to the nearby Church of St. John the Baptist and is surrounded by an elegant Baroque garden and park. Today, Chateau Manětín is a protected heritage site and one of the most important Baroque landmarks in the Plzeň Region. Visitors can explore its preserved rooms and learn about the influential Lažanský family, whose patronage helped transform Manětín into a cultural center.
