Chateau Žirovnice is a historic castle-château complex in the town of Žirovnice in the Vysočina Region of Czechia.

Originally founded as a Gothic castle in the 13th century, it was gradually transformed into a Renaissance noble residence while retaining many elements of its medieval character. The château is especially famous for its extensive Gothic and Renaissance wall paintings, which are considered among the most remarkable and best-preserved examples of their kind in the Czech Republic.

Notable frescoes can be seen in the chapel, the Knight’s Hall, and several historic rooms. Over the centuries, the estate was owned by several noble families, including the Šternberks. After being acquired by the town in the early 20th century, the complex was restored and adapted for museum use. Today, it also includes exhibitions devoted to local history, traditional crafts, and the region’s once-important button and mother-of-pearl industry.
