The castle was rebuilt into a grand Baroque structure in 1676 and features distinctive architectural elements from that period. Over time, it has undergone various renovations and has been in need of restoration, but remains a significant cultural monument.
Today, the castle houses a vocational school and a practical school, and it is noted for its historical and architectural value, being one of the key landmarks of Chroustovice.
