CICEANA (Centro de Información y Comunicación Ambiental de Norte América, A.C.) is a non-profit civil society organization based in Mexico City, Mexico, founded in 1995 to provide environmental information, communication, and education focused on sustainability and sustainable development. Established during the framework of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the organization focuses on environmental education and communication as the foundation for collective action toward sustainable lifestyles. CICEANA's mission is to promote environmental knowledge, transform attitudes, and develop habits and values that support sustainable development through education, training, communication, research, and applied projects. The organization offers diverse services including school visits, environmental audiovisual production, environmental communication campaigns, environmental conferences and workshops, environmental fairs, eco-markets (ecotianguis), environmental education programs for urban parks and protected areas, ecological technique design and installation, participatory community diagnostics, organic garden installation in schools and businesses, and consultation and installation of green roofs, walls, and green spaces.
