Dado Beach is Haifa’s longest and most popular public beach, stretching about 1.5 kilometers along the Mediterranean coast at the foot of Mount Carmel in northern Israel.

Named after former Haifa mayor Aharon Dado, it features light beige golden sand, clear (sometimes cool) waters, and a well-maintained, spacious shoreline that is clean, safe, and family-friendly, with lifeguards on duty from April through October at all stations and at selected stations from March to November.

The beach offers many amenities including showers, restrooms, changing rooms, an outdoor pool for small children, plenty of free parking, and numerous bars, restaurants, and cafes with indoor and outdoor seating along a long brick promenade perfect for walking, running, or cycling.

Visitors can swim, sunbathe, play beach volleyball, windsurf, kayak, paddleboard, or join in folk dancing on Saturdays, and the beach is easily accessible by bus (lines 1, 4, or 11) or train, with the central railway/bus station nearby and about a 20-minute walk from Haifa’s city center.
