Dolní Kounice Castle in the Czech Republic dates back to the late 13th century, originally built by the Premonstratensian order to protect the nearby Rosa Coeli convent.

Over time, it evolved into a Gothic-Renaissance fortress with significant expansions during the Renaissance era, including moats, gates, and defensive structures. The castle was damaged during the Thirty Years' War and subsequently rebuilt in Baroque style in the late 17th century. It remained in noble ownership for centuries and today is partially restored and open to the public for tours and cultural events.

The castle features unique architectural elements like a spiral staircase and remnants of medieval fortifications, serving as a historical monument showcasing the region's heritage. It also functions as a venue for weddings, exhibitions, and film shoots, blending history and contemporary use.
