Drnholec Castle is a historic Renaissance château in the South Moravian town of Drnholec, situated on a rocky elevation above the Dyje River.

It originated as a medieval castle, likely founded in the 13th century, and was gradually transformed into a Renaissance residence during the 16th century. The château was shaped by several noble families, including the Liechtensteins and the Teuffenbachs, who carried out major renovations and expanded the estate.

A significant reconstruction in 1837 gave the building much of its present appearance. Today, Drnholec Castle is protected as a cultural monument and remains one of the town’s most important landmarks. Its historic architecture and prominent location make it a notable reminder of the region’s medieval and Renaissance heritage.
