Drnovice in the Vyškov District of the South Moravian Region, Czech Republic, is a village with about 2,400 residents, first mentioned in 1104 as property of the Benedictine monastery in Třebíč.
It lies near Vyškov and Brno, situated between the Vyškov Gate and Drahany Highlands in the fertile Haná region, with notable hills like Rozepře and Chocholík nearby and the Drnůvka Stream flowing through.
Historically part of the Račice estate from the 13th century until the 19th century, the village is known for its Church of Saint Lawrence built in the late 17th century and Baroque statues of saints around it. Drnovice was home to the football club 1. FK Drnovice, which played in the Czech First League until 2006, and now hosts matches for MFK Vyškov.
The village also features a castle built in the 19th century that currently serves as the municipal office and a restaurant.
