Egerberk is a picturesque medieval castle ruin located above the village of Lestkov, near Klášterec nad Ohří in northwestern Czechia.

Built in the late 13th or early 14th century on a rocky hill overlooking the surrounding landscape, it is first mentioned in historical records in 1317 and served as the seat of several noble families. The castle underwent major reconstruction in the late 14th century under Jindřich Škopek of Dubá, who transformed it from a purely defensive fortress into a more comfortable noble residence while preserving its strong fortifications.

Ownership changed several times during the turbulent 15th century, reflecting the political struggles of the era. By the end of the 16th century, Egerberk had been abandoned and gradually fell into ruin. Today, its remaining walls, gate structures, and palace ruins are protected as a cultural monument and offer visitors impressive views of the Doupov Mountains and a glimpse into the region’s medieval past.
