Ekebyhov Castle is a grand wooden manor house located in Ekerö Municipality on Mälaren Lake near Stockholm, Sweden, renowned as one of Sweden's and Europe's largest preserved wooden castles.
Built in the late 1670s in Karolinska style for Field Marshal Count Carl Gustaf Wrangel after he acquired the estate formed by merging Ekeby, Hovgården, and Gällsta farms, it features a massive 40x13.5-meter log structure on a stone base with hipped roofs, ornate gables, balustrades, and lavish interiors like the 17th-century Wrangel Hall with grisaille ceilings and a Prague war trophy fireplace.
Owned by Ekerö Municipality since 1980, it now operates as a conference center, cultural venue, café, and home to the Ekebyhovs Äppelgenbank apple gene bank preserving 50 historic varieties, surrounded by a park blending French Baroque, English landscape, and orchard gardens.
