Finspång Castle
Sweden, Sweden
Finspång Castle, located in Finspång in Sweden's Östergötland province, was constructed between 1668 and 1685 by industrialist Louis De Geer the younger in Dutch Classicist style, designed by architect Adriaan Dortsman as one of Sweden's largest Baroque castles on the site of a former crown mill.
Surrounded by an expansive park developed from the 1690s with additions like an orangery, Aurora Temple, and gazebo up to the 1820s, it originally served as the heart of an ironworking and cannon foundry hub before later expansions in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Today owned by Siemens, it functions as offices for the turbine industry, with the surrounding grounds open to visitors featuring museums, gardens, and historical bruksmiljö industrial environments.
