Fonte Arcada is a small parish and historic village in Galicia, northwestern Spain, situated along the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route amid scenic rural landscapes near Pontevedra province.

With roots tracing back to Roman times as a key commercial port and strategic crossing point, it gained prominence during the 1809 Battle of Puente Sampaio where Spanish forces under Colonel Pablo Morillo decisively defeated French Napoleonic troops led by Marshal Ney, marking one of the first major victories in the Peninsular War and prompting the French evacuation from Galicia. 

Today, the area preserves Romanesque architecture including 12th-century churches with notable façades, alongside natural attractions and its enduring role as a pilgrim stop blending military history with coastal heritage.
