Frýdštejn Castle is a medieval rock castle ruin located in the Liberec Region of Czechia, built in the 14th century on a sandstone ridge overlooking the Jizera river valley.

It was likely founded around 1376 by the Bibrštejn family and first mentioned in historical records in 1385. The castle played a strategic role in guarding the area and was besieged by the Hussites in 1432 but was never captured. It has a distinctive large round tower, 15 meters high with thick walls, which is the best-preserved part of the castle. The castle had small rooms carved directly into the rock, including a chapel.

Over time, the castle changed owners several times and was abandoned by the end of the 16th century, eventually falling into ruin. In the late 19th century, it was opened to the public and has since been preserved as a tourist attraction, featuring historical exhibits and offering panoramic views of the surrounding Bohemian Paradise landscape. Its romantic and rugged ruinous state makes it a popular destination for visitors interested in history and nature.​
