Godivje is a historic village in the Debarca region of North Macedonia's Struga Municipality, located on the eastern slopes of Slavov Peak mountain, about 27 km south of Kičevo and 38 km north of Ohrid, bordered by villages like Slivovo, Vrbjani, Ržanovo, Zbazdhi, Laktinje, and Arbinovo. Settled since the Neolithic era with sites like Cherenets nearby, it was first mentioned in 1582 Ottoman records within the Ohrid Sanjak's Debarca nahiya, but the original settlement collapsed, prompting residents to found a new Godivje (called Godivle) in the Prilep area. Repopulated mid-18th century by families from ruined nearby villages Vojovo and Groov, it saw heavy involvement in the 1903 Ilinden Uprising, resulting in Ottoman forces burning 98 houses and killing several innocent locals. The village features churches like St. Vartolomej (renovated 2020) and St. Spas (on a former monastery site destroyed by Turks), plus medieval archaeological sites such as Vojo settlement, Gorica churches, Kulа Hellenistic fortress, and Trumeni Gumeniа church.
