The Grădina Botanică "Vasile Fati" in Jibou, Romania (also known as the Jibou Botanical Garden) is a botanical garden located on the north-east side of Jibou in Sălaj County, Romania, on the second bank of the Someș River. Founded in 1968 by biology professor Vasile Fati (1932-2007) within the local high school and becoming an independent unit in 1970, the garden covers 24 to 25 hectares (approximately 20.5 hectares according to some sources) on the former Wesselényi domain, where visitors can also admire the Wesselényi Castle. The garden houses over 5,000 plant species from different geographical areas of the world and is organized into several sectors: a zoological sector with a park of goats and wild pigs, a small and large Japanese Garden, a Rozarium with a children's playground featuring a slide and swings, two botanical greenhouses with a bust of Vasile Fati in front, the Wesselényi Stable, vertical gardens, volières with peacocks, an aquarium sector with fish, and a medicinal plants sector. It is the second-largest botanical garden in Romania by area after the Iași Botanical Garden (100 hectares) and serves as a teaching base for biological education and an institution for public education in the spirit of love and respect for nature.
