Gustav III's Paviljong
Solna, Sweden, Sweden
Gustav III's Pavilion is a neoclassical royal residence located in Haga Park, Solna, just north of Stockholm, Sweden.
Built in 1787 by architect Olof Tempelman under the direct guidance of King Gustav III, who contributed designs and modifications, it features exquisite Pompeian-style interiors crafted by Louis Masreliez, representing a pinnacle of late 18th-century European neoclassicism.
King Gustav III resided there briefly before his assassination in 1792 at a Stockholm opera masquerade, after which it was restored in the 1930s-1940s using original plans; today, it stands as a museum showcasing preserved opulent rooms and historical significance.
