Hesselby Slott
Jakobsberg, Sweden, Sweden
Hesselby Slott, located near Jakobsberg in Stockholm Municipality, Sweden, was constructed in the 1640s by riksråd Karl Bonde with initial designs by architect Simon de la Vallée, later completed in the 1660s by his son Jean de la Vallée under Gustaf Bonde.
The Bonde family owned the Baroque-style manor with its two-story main building, pavilions, and early 18th-century gardens until 1931, when Stockholm City acquired it, leading to mid-20th-century decline before 1960s renovations restored parts of the grounds.
Since 2010 under Svensk Inredning and later Stockholm Meeting Selection management, the property operates as a music-themed hotel, conference venue, and wedding site featuring artist-inspired rooms, a restaurant, and preserved historic elements amid scenic parklands.
