Historický střelecký terč in Chřibská is a unique historical monument that reflects the town’s long-standing shooting traditions.

Built in 1792 by the local shooting society, it originally consisted of a sandstone base and a remarkable 45‑meter-tall tilting pole that held an eagle-shaped target, making it one of the tallest structures of its kind in northern Bohemia. The site was used by local marksmen for shooting competitions and community events, and these traditions continued until World War II.

After the war, the shooting society disappeared and the structure gradually fell into disrepair, although parts of the original mechanism and stone base remain visible today. Located near a walking route leading to the Chřibská waterfalls, the monument serves as an unusual reminder of local history and craftsmanship. In recent years, efforts have been made to protect and restore the remains so that this rare piece of cultural heritage can be preserved for future generations.
