Högestads Gods
Sweden, Sweden
Högestads Gods, located in Högestads socken near Ystad in Skåne County, southern Sweden, originated under Lund's archdiocese in medieval times before Reformation confiscation and transfer to Görvel Fyllenstierna in 1574.
Palle Rosenkrantz built the current two-story stone main house with stepped gables around 1635, later seized by the Swedish Crown in 1682 and sold to Carl Piper in 1706, remaining in his family as a fideicommiss until the 1990s when it transitioned to Högestad och Christinehof Fideikommiss AB.
Today, this vast 13,000-hectare estate split evenly between forest and farmland ranks among Sweden's largest agricultural properties, managed by a subsidiary for operations near Högestads kyrka.
