Horní Tvrz Kestřany is a remarkably well-preserved medieval fortress located in the village of Kestřany in South Bohemia.

It was founded in the late 13th century by the lords of Kestřany and served as their residence before passing to the noble Švamberk family, who expanded and rebuilt it into an impressive Gothic stronghold. The fortress is part of a unique historical complex that also includes a lower fortress and a Baroque château, making Kestřany one of the most important examples of medieval manor architecture in the Czech Republic.

Its stone towers, defensive walls, moat, and historic interiors provide a rare glimpse into noble life during the Middle Ages. After centuries of changing ownership and periods of decline, the site has been restored and opened to visitors. Today, it is protected as a cultural monument and is considered one of the best-preserved late Gothic fortresses in the country.
