Hrad Brníčko

Hrad Brníčko is a castle ruin located near the village of Brníčko in the Šumperk District of Czechia.

It was built in the early 14th century, around the 1330s, by the lords of Otaslavice and served as a significant stronghold in the region. During the Hussite Wars in the 15th century, the castle played a strategic role and changed hands multiple times, eventually becoming a base for bandit lords. In 1471, it was besieged and destroyed by forces loyal to the Hungarian king.

Presently, the castle remains a well-preserved ruin with notable features such as high walls of the northeastern palace and thick fortification pillars standing out. Located on a hill above the village, it serves as an important historical landmark and popular tourist destination, overlooking the picturesque landscape of the area.
