Jardín Botánico Culiacán is a public botanical garden in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, founded in 1986 by architect Carlos Murillo Depraect, dedicated to conservation, scientific research, environmental education, and cultural promotion.
The garden showcases more than 1,000 plant species across 17 botanical collections, including extensive displays of cacti, bamboos, and bromeliads, and it houses the National Palm Collection with over 60% of Mexican palm species, making it the largest palm collection in America.
Beyond its botanical significance, the garden uniquely integrates nearly 40 contemporary art pieces from recognized artists like James Turrell, Gabriel Orozco, and Francis Alÿs harmoniously with the natural landscape, featuring works such as "Encounter" by James Turrell and creating a rich cultural experience where botany meets contemporary art.
