Jerusalem Beach is a popular, lively beach in central Tel Aviv, Israel, known for attracting a young, energetic crowd of both Israelis and tourists who come to swim, sunbathe, play matkot (Israeli beach paddle ball), volleyball, and listen to music.

Despite its name, it is in Jerusalem but is located where Allenby Street meets the Herbert Samuel Promenade, right across from the Opera Tower, and locals often call it Geula Beach because it sits at the end of Geula Street. The beach features clean golden sand, clear blue Mediterranean waters, and well-maintained facilities including public restrooms, outdoor showers, chair and umbrella rentals, a children’s playground, a fitness area, shade structures, and a beach cafe.

Lifeguards are on duty from 7:45 am to sundown in summer (May–October) but not in winter, and it’s best reached on foot or by public transit since parking is limited. It’s especially vibrant in summer with people bringing beers, watermelons, and nargileh pipes, making it ideal for those seeking a bustling atmosphere rather than a quiet, peaceful spot.
