Jimramov is a small market town located in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, situated on the historical border of Moravia and Bohemia.

The town was first mentioned in records from 1361 and was known for its fortress, which was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle in the late 16th century by Pavel Katharin of Kathar. Jimramov experienced its peak prosperity in the 18th century and became a cultural center for evangelicals.

It was owned by the Italian noble family of Belcredi from 1778 until 1948, with the family regaining ownership in 1991 through restitution. The town features historical landmarks including a Classicist school building with exhibitions about famous locals, a Roman Catholic Church of Virgin Mary’s Birth with Gothic origins later rebuilt in Baroque style, and memorials dedicated to notable native figures.
