Kaštice Chateau
Podbořany, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Kaštice Chateau is a modest Neoclassical château located in the village of Kaštice, which is now part of Podbořany in northwestern Czechia.
It was built in 1837 by Vít Zeiner after the demolition of an older fortified manor that had stood on the site since at least the 14th century. The village and estate have a long history dating back to 1384 and were owned by various noble families and religious orders over the centuries.
Following World War II, the château became state property and was used by an agricultural breeding station and other agricultural enterprises. Today, the château is protected as a cultural monument and remains a notable reminder of the region’s rural aristocratic heritage.
