Verified Katthamra Gård

Katthammarsvik, Sweden, Sweden

Katthamra Gård, situated in Katthammarsvik on Gotland's eastern coast in Sweden, is Gotland's only manor house with buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, meticulously restored to blend historic charm with modern comforts.

First known owner Peder Fleming purchased the estate in 1652, followed by merchant and shipbuilder Jacob Dubbe in the late 18th century, then Axel Hägg in the early 19th century whose descendants, including architect Axel Herman Hägg and Rear Admiral Jacob Hägg, held it for 150 years amid the local limestone industry's boom.

Today, the privately owned property offers weekly rentals in three character-filled houses with 19th-century interiors like wall paintings and salons, plus a limestone barn venue for up to 120 guests at weddings and events near the Baltic Sea.
