Kepi i Bishti i Pallës
Albania, Albania
Kepi i Bishti i Pallës, also known as Kepi i Palit or "Cape of Palla's Tail," is a coastal cape and beach in Durrës County, northwestern Albania, about 40 km west of Tirana near the village of Katund i Ri.
Named after a legendary tale linking it to Skanderbeg's sword-wielding victory over Ottoman forces, it features flat terrain, golden sands, and proximity to the Adriatic Sea, with Mali i Durrës rising 186 meters nearby.
The site hosts an Albanian Naval Force base, was targeted during the 1939 Italian invasion, and served as headquarters for the 2014 Albanian Lion military exercise involving British forces. Its temperate climate averages 17°C annually, with hot summers up to 29°C and significant rainfall peaking in February, making it a quieter beach escape close to Durrës city.
