Kosturino is a village in the Strumica Municipality of southeastern North Macedonia, located at coordinates 41°21′26″N 22°36′34″E with an elevation of about 506 meters and a 2021 population of around 895, predominantly Macedonian. Formerly part of the Kukliš Municipality, it gained historical significance as the site of the Battle of Kosturino from December 6-12, 1915, during World War I's Macedonian campaign, where Bulgarian forces defeated combined British and French troops, contributing to the Allied retreat from Serbia and enabling Central Powers' rail advancements. The surrounding mountains and village served as key terrain in this early Balkan front clash amid harsh weather conditions.
