Kristinebergs Slottspark
Stockholm, Sweden, Sweden
Kristinebergs Slottspark is a historic park in Stockholm's Kungsholmen district, Sweden, adjacent to the 18th-century Kristineberg Palace originally built around 1750 for merchant Roland Schröder and later owned by Prince August of Dalarna in the 1860s.
The park traces its origins to a 17th-century Baroque garden gifted by Queen Christina to General Lennart Torstensson in 1647, featuring surviving lindalléer avenues, apple orchards, large oaks, a literary-themed minigolf course, and the beloved Uggleparken playground with giant wooden owls.
Today it serves as a serene urban green space amid modern developments like Essingeleden highway and Tranebergsbron, with the palace housing Kristinebergsskolan school and private residences.
