Leopold Gate (Leopoldova brána) is a striking early Baroque gateway at the historic Vyšehrad fortress in Prague.

Built between the mid-17th century and 1672, it was designed as the ceremonial entrance to the inner fortress and is believed to be based on plans by the Italian architect Carlo Lurago. The gate forms part of the extensive Vyšehrad fortification system and is named after Emperor Leopold I. Although it was incorporated into the fortress defenses, it was never used for a significant military purpose and later became an important passageway into the citadel.

Today, Leopold Gate is one of Vyšehrad’s most recognizable landmarks, admired for its decorative stonework and historic architecture. It serves as a popular entrance for visitors exploring the fortress, its parks, monuments, and panoramic views of Prague.
