Lido Beach is a popular, family-friendly beach in Ashdod, Israel, located along the Mediterranean coastline and known for its beautiful golden sand, clean water, and gorgeous sunset views.

It is one of Ashdod’s award-winning “Golden Beaches” that consistently receives Israel’s highest cleanliness ratings and the international Blue Flag for safety and environmental quality. The beach offers a relaxed, urban escape with family-friendly amenities including playgrounds, outdoor showers, restrooms, changing rooms, chair and umbrella rentals, and ample free parking.

Visitors can easily reach it by bus (numbers 5 or 8) or car, and the beach is sunny most of the year with temperatures around 27°C even in February. While there are no major restaurants directly on Lido Beach itself, nearby beachside bars and restaurants are available, and water sports like stand-up paddleboarding and board rentals can be found at beachside venues like “Gil Li” restaurant.

The beach is also the subject of environmental protection efforts, with a 2024 Appeals Committee decision preventing hotel construction there to preserve public access amid rising sea levels.
