Litultovice is a small market town in the Opava District of the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, first mentioned in 1289.

Its name probably comes from its founder, Litult. Historically, Litultovice was part of the Moravian enclave in Silesia, owned by the Olomouc archbishopric and governed by noble families like the Běrka of Násilé, Stoš of Kounice, and Bítovský of Bítov. The town suffered a major fire in 1582 that destroyed much of it, sparing only a fortress.

This fortress was replaced by a Renaissance-style castle built in 1609, which today consists of an Old Castle featuring Renaissance interior paintings dating from 1580 to 1600, and a Baroque New Castle from the 18th century.

The castle currently houses the municipal office and a library. Among other landmarks is a historical wooden windmill moved to Litultovice in 1878, and the Church of Saint Bartholomew built in the mid-19th century. The town offers a blend of historical architecture, cultural heritage, and a peaceful small-town atmosphere.
