Loučná nad Desnou is a municipality and village in the Šumperk District of the Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic, situated in a scenic valley along the Desná River at coordinates around 50°4′18″N 17°5′28″E, with a population of about 1,400 to 1,700 residents spread across roughly 94 square kilometers.

Formerly known as Vízmberk until 1948 and Wiesenberg in German, it serves as a popular tourist spot for both summer hikes and winter skiing due to its foothill location near peaks like Praděd.

The main landmark is Loučná nad Desnou Castle, built in 1608 by the Zierotins on an old hunting lodge site, later renovated in 1749 and 1840 with a chapel from 1744 now functioning as the parish church, alongside a 17th-century park redesigned in English style by 1839–1945 that's open to visitors while the castle itself remains unused and closed.
